Meet our management team

Jasper Jones

President and CEO

Jasper has been building residential homes and managing commercial projects in West Texas since 1988, earning a stellar reputation with a long list of satisfied customers. Jasper is a second-generation builder with many years as a carpenter, superintendent, estimator and project manager. Commercial clients, homeowners and lenders all truly appreciate the value that Jasper brings to the table. Jasper is a certified project management professional (PMP) and member of the Construction Management Association of America. He also serves in leadership roles with multiple organizations, including as President of the Permian Basin Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

Shane Land, MBA - Accounting

Chief Financial Officer

Shane was also raised in the construction industry. He has his MBA and serves as both CFO and Corporate Controller. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and an accredited Forensic Accountant and has performed hundreds of internal audits. Shane's in depth understanding of construction practices and principles combined with his cost control structures are the driving principal's behind WBG competitive edge within the industry. He spent many years as Senior Project Auditor for Fluor where he led the Project Auditing Division. Shane also carries numerous specialty credentials in Construction Accounting

Kegan Rummell

Operations Manager

Kegan has overseen the completion of numerous and various construction projects over the last 20 years. He oversees all Field Operations for Whitetail and does an excellent job of keeping projects moving on track. Kegan communicates highly effective with the client, project managers and project superintendents. His attention to detail, Project Schedules, submittals, Quality Control and overall scope, are unsurpassed in the industry. Kegan's broad and in-depth knowledge of the International Building Codes (IBC) and International Code Council (ICC) procedures, assures that all of Whitetail's projects adhere to the latest Building Code compliance. His professionalism in every facet and phase of the construction process, ensures a successful project for each and every one of Whitetail's clients.

Harry Van Sickle

Senior Project Manager

Harry has over 40 years of experience in the Construction Industry. As the son and grandson of the largest Masonry Contractor on the West Coast, Harry literally grew up in Construction. His experience consists of commercial and residential new construction and tenant improvement/remodel projects. He has extensive hands-on experience gleaned through his previous roles as carpenter, framing foreman, superintendent, estimator and project management. With a thorough understanding of each phase of the construction process, Harry is able to focus on client satisfaction and quality craftsmanship. By far, his greatest strength is his ability to understand, navigate and direct communications with Whitetail's clients and client representatives. His in-depth knowledge of construction practices allows him to effectively and efficiently interact with architects and engineers, to ensure that client needs and budgets are achieved and met to the exact metric for a successful project.

Karla Cantu

Executive Project Coordinator

Karla started with the company in 2012 and has served in various roles. Starting her career in Administration, she later moved up to become the Office Manager for South Texas Operations. And now performs as Executive Project Coordinator for Montana. Karla's attention to detail and her outstanding organizational skills combined with an unsurpassed Work Ethic, make her an invaluable Core Member. Whitetail's successes are her successes, as she directs deliverables on numerous projects simultaneously and coordinates with project schedules, compliances, and budgets.

Tracy Hilliard

Executive Admin - Accounting Procore Administrator

Tracy started with Whitetail in Operations as an Assistant Project Manager. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Organizational Development. Tracy was one our very first to master Procore when we on-boarded the operating platform. Her expertise and fluidity in Procore has
been an amazing help to Whitetail both internally and externally. With her ease and proficiency of navigating operating systems, it was very apparent that her skills were greatly needed in our Accounting Department, where excels and amazes everyday.

David Sikes

Pre-Con Coordinator Estimator

David is a former Marine, who brings the work ethic and discipline ingrained by Years of Service to our Country. He works relentlessly to get projects out by Bid Due date, no matter how many hours it takes. His attention to the minutia are often times the difference between Whitetail being awarded a project or being beat out by a lessor competitor. David's Work Product transfers fluidly from Pre-Con over to Operations, making a seamless transition for both Whitetail and our Clients.

Leighana Jones, Co-Founder

VP / Director of Human Resources

Through extensive trainings and seminars, Leighana diligently continues to keep Whitetail compliant with the ever-changing Employer Rules and Mandates that constantly change and update by various regulatory agencies.

During COVID, with Whitetail being deemed as an Essential Business and not shutting down our operations, she was faced with the daunting task of keeping up with the almost daily changes in Employer guidelines handed down by numerous Federal, State, County and City government entities.

She tirelessly poured through volumes of Compliance data from the CDC, OSHA, and kept us abreast of how to best keep our team safe and compliant.

Leighana maintains all eligibility records, trainings, licensing and certifications for Whitetail's Valued Employee Team.

Leighana served as President of Whitetail for over 7 years and was integral in managing our exponential growth, after which she decided to take a less time-demanding role professionally, in order to spend more time making memories with her grandchildren.
